WATCH LIVE: Apple expected to launch new iPhone, AirPods, and watch at 2023 event


Apple’s annual launch event takes place on Tuesday, with the tech giant expected to announce its new flagship smartphone lineup.

The highly anticipated “Wonderlust” event is expected to unveil the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

While Apple has not confirmed anything, it is widely believed that one change in the new generation of iPhones will include the use of a USB-C charging port to replace the long-used proprietary lightning connector.

Apple faced increased criticism for having a different charger than other smartphones and devices, resulting in the European Union mandating that smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, portable speakers, and other small devices must support USB-C charging by 2024.

The company is also expected to announce the Apple Watch Series 9 and the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra, with rumors circulating that a new line of AirPods may be released as well.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time and will be livestreamed from Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
