Trump says he’d ‘probably’ accept invite to Megyn Kelly’s Fox News show

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he’d “probably” accept an invite to appear on the program of one of his most vocal critics.

In an interview published Saturday night with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, Trump suggested he’s open to a meeting with Kelly.

“I’d probably do it,” he said when Dowd mentioned that Kelly has said she wants the GOP front-runner on his show.

Last week, Kelly told CBS News that she would “absolutely” like to have Trump on her show, even though he has instructed his own supporters not to watch the program and despite Trump and Kelly’s long-standing feud going back to last summer.

In the first GOP debate of the campaign, hosted by Fox News, Kelly confronted Trump with past derogatory statements he has made about some women.

Trump responded by saying he would not bow to “political correctness” and in subsequent interviews and on social media, he attacked Kelly as unfair and accused her of obsessing over him.

In the interview with CBS, Kelly said she thinks it bothers Trump that he “cannot control the editorial on my show.
