ABC’s future daytime host Katie Couric has been named emcee for this year’s Build Hope: A World Habitat Day Event Recognizing Humanitarian Leadership gala at the National Building Museum on Oct. 6. “We are grateful she will join us in honoring humanitarian leaders and the work being done to help families affected by disasters,” Liz Blake, senior vice president of Habitat for Humanity International, told Yeas & Nays Thursday. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., and Rep. Brad Miller, D-N.C., are among this year’s honorees who are expected to attend.
