Mike Isabella fans: your mouths can now start watering. The “Top Chef: All Stars” alum’s second D.C. concept, Bandolero, is opening next week. The Georgetown Mexican restaurant will start serving small plates of tacos, enchiladas, empanadas and, of course, cocktails on May 24. The restaurant, which inhabits the second story former location of Hook at 3241 M Street, is being called a “Day of the Dead-inspired retreat.” It will have a heavy emphasis on “strong margaritas and a lot of tacos,” Isabella told us back in February, when he was previewing the menu at LivingSocial’s pop-up location at 918 F St. (The “fish stick tacos” or Mahi Mahi tacos were our favorite). Reservations for Bandolero can be made online at CityEats.com.
