Richard Holbrooke, the United States’ special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, didn’t make the list for Friday night’s New Yorker party.
“Tell Remnick, I was crushed,” Holbrooke was overheard telling a friend heading to the party, laughing off the snub. Holbrooke’s wife shushed him.
Making it more awkward, Holbrooke’s stepson helped New Yorker Editor David Remnick research his Barack Obama biography, “The Bridge.”
