Clearly, Sen. Jim Bunning had a case of the Mondays.
On Monday, the retiring Kentucky senator gave ABC News producer Z. Byron Wolf the finger, responding to Wolf’s interview request with a flip of the bird. Bunning then refused to talk to ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl.

Karl tried following Bunning into a “senators only” elevator, only to be told by Bunning it was exactly that. “Excuse me,” Bunning said. “This is a senators only elevator.” He escaped without giving comment.
So, why all the media attention? The journalists wanted to find out Bunning’s reasons for blocking a bill that would have extended emergency unemployment benefits.
Bunning’s office did not return a call for comment.
