Fox News’ Ed Henry was annoyed Monday after he failed at a campaign event in New Hampshire to get Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to answer a question.
Clinton has caught a lot of grief from reporters recently for failing to engage more with the press. So when her team announced that she would take some questions Monday, reporters lined up for the chance to query the Democratic frontrunner on a series of issues.
Clinton answered questions from the Washington Post, MSNBC and a few other outlets, but she did not take any questions from Fox News, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
After the presser ended, Henry tried again to ask Clinton about recent polling that suggests Americans are generally distrustful of her. Clinton ignored Henry’s questions and was quickly ushered out of the event by her staff, leaving the Fox reporter high, dry and visibly annoyed.
The last notable campaign run-in between Clinton and Henry occurred in May when he blurted out a question during an event in Iowa, asking whether she planned at any point to take questions from the press.
“Maybe when I finish talking to the people here. How’s that?” Clinton responded coyly.
Henry repeated himself.
“I might,” Clinton responded, her sarcasm drawing laughter from the crowd. “I’ll have to ponder it. But I will put it on my list for due consideration.”
