TAMPA, Fla. — No one wants to miss a party with penguins, including the Romney campaign.
GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney jetted off to Indianapolis to deliver a speech on Wednesday, but campaign aide Rick Gorka told BuzzFeed’s Rebecca Berg that they would return to Tampa the same night. “It’s because of the BuzzFeed party,” Gorka said to Berg. “We didn’t want to miss it. Tell your boss.”
BuzzFeed is hosting one of the more novel parties of the convention. Several hundred people are expected at the Florida Aquarium, where two mermaids and a bunch of penguins will be on the scene. BuzzFeed confirms that Romney is on the guest list, though it’s anyone’s guess if the candidate will actually show.
