Bravo television executive and “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen may be the king of fluff, but in his new book he reveals that one of his two idols is all hard news. Cohen is a huge fan of ABC News’ Sam Donaldson and says he channels the journalistic great during interviews. (Though he notes that he’s mainly talking to “Real Housewives.”) “During the Reagan years, he was the only member of the White House press corps who actually asked the man a direct question and held him accountable,” Cohen writes in “Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture,” which hit bookshelves Tuesday. Cohen’s other idol is Susan Lucci.

The television personality will be coming to the area May 18 to take part in Bethesda Row’s “The Front Row” event. Cohen’s getting a front row seat at that evening’s outdoor fashion show but will sign books beforehand, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in front of Redwood Restaurant and Bar.
