Police in Brussels broke up massive protests Sunday, using water cannons to disperse the crowd.
Five days after terrorist attacks rocked Brussels, leaving 31 dead and over 200 injured, video footage shows a group of armored police, flanked by armored vehicles, approaching a large crowd of hundreds of protesters and blasting them with water cannons.
The protesters, most clad in black, are members of the right-wing group “Nation.” They were marching on a vigil in Brussels, NBC News reports. As they were pushed back, the protesters shouted “this is our home.”
More video footage shows what seem to be trampling on flowers laid out at a memorial site.
