Well, this is a surprise. The Salahis’ publicist, Mahogany Jones, has had enough. Mike James, a photographer apparently working as Jones’ publicist, released a statement Monday saying she quit.
“From unconfirmed sources, the decision was made after a firestorm of statements and unadvised interviews which were not initiated nor directed by Mrs. Jones, were made by the Salahis,” the statement read.
The announcement also suggested the Salahis’ lawyer Stephen Best had ditched the couple because of their behavior, to which he gave Yeas & Nays a “no comment.”
While Jones handled most of the couple’s public relations surrounding their November White House crash, in recent months, the primary publicist for the couple has been Australia’s Max Markson, described as a “celeb spruiker who never misses an opportunity to prolong someone’s 15 minutes of fame and make a buck,” by the Australian newspaper the Age.
