‘Tase me’ screamer arrested outside Fashion for Paws

Haven’t we seen this before?

It was sort of like the 2007 viral video in which a University of Florida student screamed, “Don’t Tase me, bro,” as he was being escorted from an event with Sen. John Kerry — except the guy at this weekend’s event wanted to get Tased.

Outside the Italian Embassy, at the sold-out Fashion for Paws event Saturday night, an inebriated guest got so out of hand, the Secret Service had to pin him down, handcuff him and arrest him.

A Secret Service spokesman identified the unruly guest as Michael Thomas, 34, who was charged with disorderly conduct.

Fashion for Paws is an annual fashion show benefiting the Washington Humane Society and a very popular soiree among D.C.’s social set — some of whom get to strut down the runway with their favorite canine in tow.

This year, in a nod to the ever increasing challenge of parking in the city, the organizers of the largely well-choreographed event promised free valet service. But there were not enough staff on hand after the show, which left hundreds of intoxicated people waiting for up to 90 minutes for their cars — and that’s where trouble started.

Thomas, seemingly inebriated, reportedly began provoking Secret Service officers, begging for them to touch him and better yet, Tase him.

“He said, ‘I go to Georgetown, I work at Google and I am going to have you all fired,’ ” our spy told Yeas & Nays.

At one point, witnesses said, he actually lunged at the agents, leaving them with no choice but to pin him to the ground and handcuff him. When he was cuffed, he kicked at the officers and actually begged them to Tase him.

“He was fighting like a trapped animal, it was crazy,” an onlooker said.

Once he was arrested, he let out loud and uncontrollable screams.
