Kristin Davis only knows her Democrats

Right on the heels of “Sex and the City” actor Willie Garson‘s trip to D.C. last week (he played Stanford Blatch), actress Kristin Davis was in Washington Wednesday to take part in Oxfam America’s Sisters on the Planet Summit.

Davis has been an Oxfam Ambassador now for a handful of years and has trekked to parts of drought-stricken Africa and post-earthquake Haiti to represent the organization, paying particular attention to the needs of female farmers. Even with those experiences, she said she wasn’t sure if she’s braver than her SATC character, the prim and proper Charlotte York. “I think that it’s pretty hard to say who would be bolder,” Davis said. “I maybe am more adventurous…but I bet if she had the opportunity she would want to go out in the world and help people, she always took good care of her kids.”

As part of Davis’ trip to D.C, she and conference attendees will pour into about 100 Congressional offices Thursday, talking to lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. “I vote in California so I have some favorite California lawmakers, I love Sen. Gillibrand of New York, she’s great, and I love Barbara Boxer and I love Dianne Feinstein and I love,” she said pausing, trying to think. “I don’t know any Republicans, sorry,” she added in a whisper.
