[WATCH] People think Eric Holder starred in ‘Fast & Furious’ movies

Far from not knowing what role Eric Holder played in the Fast and Furious scandal, many Americans don’t even know that he’s the country’s Attorney General.

Conservative watchdog organization Accuracy in Media recently created a video in which an interviewer asked people on the street “What did you think of Eric Holder’s role in Fast and Furious?”

The most frequent response: “I haven’t seen that movie.”

Several people then corrected their friends, with one person saying, “I think they mean, like, giving-the-guns-to-Mexico Fast and Furious.”

Granted, “Fast and Furious” is both the name of a series of movies about drag racing – the most recent of which was released in May – as well as a gun-running scandal that resulted in the death of border agent Brian Terry. Since the question involved Holder, however, it seemed pretty clear to the average American what the interviewer was getting at.

But, as we have seen before, it is not safe to assume that the average American follows the news.

The interviewer did do her part to make the confused people believe that she really was referring to the movies. When they asked her which actor Eric Holder was, or which character he played in the Fast and Furious movie, she would reply, “he’s the blonde guy.”

Both Eric Holder and actual “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker would likely be pretty offended by the responses in this video.
