Trying to be ironic? Melania Trump calls for safe spaces online [VIDEO]

Melania Trump’s mission as First Lady, if America elects her husband, is to be a force for change on social media, or in other words – create online safe spaces.

That’s right. Contrary to her husband Donald’s social media antics and goal to end political correctness, particularly on college campuses, Melania seems to want to do the exact opposite.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, Melania said, “I see now in 21st century, the social media, it’s very damaging for the children. We need to guide them and teach them about social media, because I see a lot of negativity on it, and we need to help them.”

This is odd coming from Donald’s wife, seeing as how Trump built his entire campaign on negativity on social media. To be fair, Donald and Melania have been dragged through the mud in many instances.

However, in Donald and Melania’s minds, all of that negativity is coming from the mainstream media.

“[The] press, it’s very dishonest, and it’s a lot of lies that they’ve written,” Melania told Cooper.

She continued by saying she’s had to file lawsuits because the media accused her of “doing stuff that I have never did in my life, and they wrote lies.”

It’s not unheard of for anyone in Trump’s camp to disagree with the Donald, even subtly, yet Donald and Melania might butt heads on this issue.
