Lena Dunham will promote pro-choice EMILY’s List candidates on her book tour

Lena Dunham’s book tour for her new memoir “Not That Kind of Girl” is making headlines again. The tour, which apparently is turning into more of a circus with each passing day, will now include Dunham’s endorsement of pro-choice candidates also endorsed by EMILY’s List.

Dunham reached out to EMILY’s List, a group that works for female Democratic candidates supportive of abortion rights, before the tour and said she wanted to use the tour to promote the Democratic get-out-the-vote effort, Buzzfeed reported Friday. Dunham will also promote the group on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

While Dunham’s tour might be pro-choice, it is certainly not pro-payment for work.

Dunham’s book tour stops will feature warm-up acts by seven actors chosen from 600 individuals who participated in video auditions solicited by the actress. According to The New York Times, these actors will be paid nothing for their performances.

Dunham rarely passes up the chance to promote the Democrat agenda and to blame Republicans.

In her “Not That Kind of Girl” book Dunham recounted being date raped in college. But she didn’t simply share the story, she made sure to point out that her rapist was a Republican.

Last week, Dunham sent out an email to Planned Parenthood Action Fund supporters, urging them to vote against Republicans in Senate races. In 2012, she released an ad for President Obama that compared voting for him to losing her virginity.

This tour certainly doesn’t seem like it’s worth the $900 one scalper is offering.
