Sure, you could write Santa by snail mail—but this is the twenty-first century. Surely we have better ways of getting out time-sensitive messages?
So when two Wisconsin boys of the ages of three and six needed to get an urgent message to Kris, they picked up the phone and dialed 911. It was apparently a hangup call—perhaps the 911 responder wasn’t giving off much of a North Pole vibe.
The police officers who turned up at the boys’ house informed them that maybe it would be better to try to reach Santa in person at the local mall, according to the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen:
The Mayville Police Department reminds residents that they should only call 911 if there is an emergency.
For those who wish to take the Mayville Police Department’s advice and visit Santa in person, there are upcoming opportunities in Horicon and Mayville.
