This really doesn’t seem like too much to ask for this Christmas.
Political pundits and real-life brothers Brad Woodhouse, a Democrat, and Dallas Woodhouse, a Republican, got a surprise phone call during their segment on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” Tuesday.
“Joy from Raleigh, N.C.” called into the show to put in her two cents.
At first the pair was excited to hear from someone else “from down South,” but that quickly changed when they heard the voice.
“Oh God. It’s mom!” Dallas said.
Momma Woodhouse had something way more important to discuss than the exact topic at hand — her Christmas wish.
“I don’t know many families that are fighting at Thanksgiving,” she said. “I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was the year you were supposed to go to your in-laws. And I’m hoping you’ll have some of this out of your system when you come here for Christmas. I would really like a peaceful Christmas.”
Between the Jeb Bush announcement and this C-SPAN clip, the political world really is keeping it all in the family.
