Reason is seeking out some professional looking pot smokers for the magazine’s next cover shot.
The cover story, “Pot Goes Legit,” will be about marijuana being legalized in Colorado. The art needs to follow suit, with the magazine asking folks to tuck away the Bob Marley posters and look respectable.
“Send us selfies where you are smoking, growing, or just possessing marijuana while looking otherwise ordinary,” the cover contest advertisement reads. “You should be in a suit, surrounded by a white picket fence, or petting your dog in an armchair with no visible springs. Bourgeois. Businesslike. You get the idea.”
The ad says professional photos will earn brownie points, but iPhone photos will do. The deadline to enter is August 22.
