Obama snubs Kim Kardashian at L.A. gala

While the rest of the world is keeping up with Kim Kardashian, President Obama is just trying to shut her down.

The president snubbed the reality TV queen at Steven Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation gala Wednesday in Los Angeles, where Obama was honored with the “Ambassador for Humanity” award. According to Radar Online, a source reported that  Kardashian “enlisted one of her minions to scout out the opportunity to meet (Obama)” after discovering that she was seated nowhere near him.

Unfortunately for the recent Vogue cover girl, the president didn’t care to rub elbows with her. “Obama’s table and surrounding area was swarming with Secret Service, and security was very tight,” detailed the source.”Kim’s lackey was told to go pound sand, and it was conveyed to Kim that she wouldn’t be able to meet him.”

The snub stood out, especially since Obama mingled with Spielberg and friends during the dinner. Though the Obamas have welcomed other stars into their lives, like Jay-Z and Beyonce, especially during campaign season, it appears Kardashian won’t be hosting a party in the president’s honor anytime soon.

Michelle Obama has even made cameos on TV shows recently, including “Parks and Rec” and “Nashville.” But if Kim invited the first lady to appear on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,”  it looks like she would be turned down.
