You don’t have to watch out. You cry about safe spaces Pout all you want. I’ll tell you why: Santa Claus isn’t coming to school.
Fox News reported PS 169 Principal Eujin Jaela Kim in Sunset Park, Brooklyn is taking a note from South Park‘s PC Principal and has decided to ban anything that’s not inclusive and diverse: Santa Claus, Thanksgiving, and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Replacing Thanksgiving will be the “Harvest Festival,” because so many children in Brooklyn work all summer long for the great harvest and instead of Christmas will be the “winter celebrations.”
“We definitely can’t say Christmas, nothing with Christmas on it, nothing with Santa. No angels. We can’t even have a star because it can represent a religious system, like the Star of David,” PTA President Mimi Ferrer said administrators told her.
“Be sensitive of the diversity of our families. Not all children celebrate the same holidays,” said assistant principal Jose Chaparro in a memo last month.
Heaven forbid they be exposed to American culture. With all that time reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, when would they have time to learn about safe spaces and prejudice against non-binary people?
