Concierge helps treat hangovers at Ritz in New Orleans

Fighting a hangover has never been so luxurious.

The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans now offers the complimentary service of a “recovery concierge” to its high-paying guests, reports Market Watch.

For those who choose to stay in the Club wing of the hotel on weekends, this specialty concierge is on call to prepare hangover-easing beverages, arrange in-room massage appointments, and deliver food.

Among the hotel’s “hangover remedies” are the Cure Royale, which combines champagne and crème de cassis, and the “Hair of the Dog” Bloody Mary. The hotel’s website deems it a “necessity” to have such services in the Big Easy.

The Ritz’s New Orleans recovery specialist is not alone in the world of specialty concierges. Others include the running concierge at the Westin Hotels, the fragrance butler at the Rosewood Hotels, the soap concierge at the Viceroy in Riviera Maya, the barbeque butler at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge near Atlanta, the bath butler at the Gansevoort Hotel Group, and the romance concierge at the Rendezvous St. Lucia.
