[VIDEO] Romney campaign warns voters that a second Obama term would be just like the first

With only a week left until the election, the Romney campaign has released a new ad hammering home the GOP presidential candidate’s message that President Barack Obama’s second-term plan is merely a repetition of his first four unsuccessful years in office.

The 30-second advertisement, titled “Can’t Afford Another Term,” tells viewers to look at his first term as the “agenda” for his second term. The voiceover narrator then lists five ways in which Obama has failed the nation, including record high unemployment and increasing the debt to more than $16 trillion. The ad notes that this debt burden has been passed on to the next generation before closing with, “We may have made it through President Obama’s first term; it’s our children who can’t afford a second.”

Though the president did in fact finally release a second term agenda just last week, his campaign’s decision to drag its feet until the last second has left the door wide open for the GOP to fill in the blanks.

Throughout the recent weeks of the campaign, representatives of the Romney campaign, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan (R-WI), have highlighted Obama’s failure to delineate his plan. A Republican National Committee advertisement released early last week called Obama’s “plan” a blank page.

And in a letter released earlier this month, Romney said, “Although President Obama won’t lay out his plan for a second term, we already know what it will be — a repeat of the last four years. We can’t afford four more years of crushing debt and wasteful spending,” according to an article from The Associated Press.

Turns out, Romney had a crystal ball when he made that prediction.

The common criticism of Obama’s plan is that it is nothing more than a shallow, shiny pamphlet that simply restates all the failed promises and plans he banked on winning him the White House in 2008.

The Romney campaign not only successfully hammered Obama on his lack of a plan but once the plan was released, team Romney decided they weren’t gonna let a 20-page glossy photo booklet distract from the message that four more years of the same is simply not good enough.
