Kara McKinney: Loudoun County rape case should be a tipping point

As the host of Tipping Point, Kara McKinney comes across many issues each week that she feels strongly about. She expresses these opinions in her popular weekly news show. Yet, while all stories warrant different reactions, it is safe to say that the story of a transgender teenager sexually assaulting a high school girl in the bathroom is particularly horrifying. It legitimized the biggest fears of the opponents of biological males using female bathrooms. On Tuesday, Loudoun County students in Virginia staged a walkout in solidarity with the victim.

As she does so eloquently every weeknight on her television show, McKinney shared with me her passionate views on this crime and the subsequent attempt by school board members to cover it up.

“The cover-up happened for the same reason the cover-up happened in Rotherham, England,” McKinney said. “What we are witnessing in real time is collective ‘justice’ in action. That means the father of a high school rape victim is seen as a bigger threat, because of what collective he represents, than the alleged rapist himself and who he represents. This allowed him to be shuffled to another school, where he reportedly committed yet another sexual assault on a different female classmate.”

Many on the Left treated this story as a nonissue precisely because this horror is a product of their toxic, radical belief system. Not all transgender students are a threat, but the loss of common sense over sex and gender opens the door to those with malicious intentions.

“This isn’t to say that people struggling with gender dysphoria are more likely to commit these heinous acts,” McKinney said.

“What I am instead drawing attention to is that sexual predators now have a loophole to both get into female-only spaces and to minimize their punishment if caught,” she said. “If this was your classic white, straight, male jock, CNN would have reporters in front of the school day and night demanding to know why this privileged white boy was being covered up for.”

The totalitarian nature of the broader transgender movement, to whose new reality one must either bow or be canceled, is intimidating those responsible for the media coverage.

“Speaking specifically of the militant movement, not of individuals truly struggling and who need our prayers and compassion, I think, at heart, it’s a rejection of God and his natural order. If you notice, the Left is not happy with finding out what is and then working within that framework. Instead, they are always trying to reshape reality to fit what they want it to be. That’s how you get: Men can be women and get pregnant, America is racist, unborn babies aren’t human, and we’ll all be happier living in pods, owning nothing, and eating bugs at the direction of Klaus Schwab,” McKinney said.

“If you remember Democratic billionaire Michael Bloomberg speaking at Oxford back in 2016, he explained how the ‘intelligentsia’ are able to see a man in a dress as a lady, while regular America just sees a man in a dress. I think that gives some leftists a sick delight, that anything is possible,” McKinney said. “Especially when you consider the fact that Bloomberg began by defining intelligentsia as people who were able to make it into the room at the university to hear him speak. As if that is any great privilege. It’s a delineating line between the current ‘ingroup’ and ‘outgroup’ of power. The ruling elites have always done this.”

She did not believe that this rape would have any significant impact in shifting opinions.

“No, I don’t think it will have any impact,” she said. “Not only because the story is not getting the coverage it deserves, but mostly because the battle lines have already been drawn. The public is now primed to reject these kinds of incidents (if they even hear about them in the first place) as something to be brushed to the side for the greater good.”

“In fact, when I spoke to Luke Rosiak, the author of the Daily Wire piece that blew the lid on Loudoun County, he was able to get in touch with one of the left-wing activist moms who told Scott Smith to his face during the June school board meeting that she didn’t believe his daughter was raped,” she said. “When Luke followed up with her to ask if the charges of forcible sodomy and evidence obtained from the rape kit had changed her mind, she didn’t budge. In fact, he said she kept dodging the question with other accusations lobbed against the victim’s family. Funny, because I bet this woman believes we have a rapist on the Supreme Court.”

McKinney does at least see a path forward, but it requires the Right to not acquiesce to the broader transgender movement and to take a united approach regarding such issues.

“Well, for starters, it would be nice to have a conservative media that doesn’t, on the one hand, fight the pronoun issue, but then, with their other hand, write articles using pronouns that are biologically inaccurate. That gives the field of play away to the Left, something the Right is notorious for doing. When we aren’t tripping over our own feet, that is,” McKinney said. “But in all seriousness, I think our message should be one of compassion. The fact of the matter is that these young people who are now using demon pronouns and self-identifying as nonhuman, nonbinary abrosexuals are not our enemies. What we are fighting is the godless ideology that uses them as pawns to tear down our social and political institutions in order to rebuild them in the Left’s image — remember, Obama gave it away when he said he wanted to ‘fundamentally transform’ America.”

“Our message should be that we are saving these young people from themselves and from organizations like Planned Parenthood that want to cash in on their pain with expensive surgeries, therapy sessions, and hormone treatments,” McKinney said. “From there, we do as Gov. Ron DeSantis is doing, and we exercise our legitimate political power to cut these militants off at the root in our schools, medical and social workers’ offices, and anywhere else where they have the power to poison the minds of 10-year-olds and turn them against their parents.”
