Each week, Yeas & Nays joins Georgetown Q&A Cafe host Carol Joynt at the Four Seasons to see which power players get their day started off at the hotel’s see-and-be-seen breakfast.

The well-suited and tight-lipped staff at the Four Seasons — including gracious maitre d’ Anshul Kaul — were expecting us and had their guard up Monday. The breakfast was slightly quieter (the room was only a third full), it being the morning after the Yom Kippur holiday weekend, but there were some local notables exercising their Black Amex cards in the service of business.

Former Bush 41 man Ed Rogers (now chairman and founder of Barbour, Griffith and Rogers) dined with CBS News Producer Mary Walsh.

Hogan & Hartson Senior International Affairs Adviser H.P. Goldfield held court at a corner table dominated by lawyer-types, while a more quiet table was commanded by McKinsey & Company Director Emeritus Lester Silverman.
