Top Five: NBA playoff series wins from down 0-2

Oklahoma City is trying to become the 15th team to win an NBA seven-game series after falling behind 0-2. Here are five memorable series comebacks from teams that lost the first two games: 5. Bullets over Knicks 4-3 (1971)?» In the conference finals, all the games in the series were won by the home team until Baltimore upset the defending NBA champs 93-91 in Game 7. Fred Carter made the decisive jumper in the final minute, and Earl Monroe outscored Walt “Clyde” Frazier 26-13.

4. Rockets over Suns 4-3 (1995)?» In order to win NBA titles in 1994 and 1995, Houston had to overcome Phoenix in the conference semifinals after trailing 0-2 in both years. The second was more difficult as the Rockets won Game 7 in Phoenix. Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler scored 29 points apiece in a 115-114 win.

3. Heat over Mavericks 4-2 (2006) » In the finals, Dallas won the first two games at home and had a 13-point lead in Game 3 in Miami before the Heat outscored the Mavericks 22-7 in the final 6:15, turning the series around.

2. Blazers over 76ers 4-2 (1977) » In the finals, Bill Walton and Portland won the last four games to upend outrageously talented, run-and-gun Philadelphia, which included Julius Erving, George McGinnis, Doug Collins, Lloyd Free and Darryl Dawkins.

1. Celtics over Lakers 4-3 (1969)?»

In the finals, aging Boston rallied to upset heavily favored Los Angeles and Wilt Chamberlain. The home team held serve until Game 7, in which the Celtics overcame finals MVP Jerry West’s 42 points to capture the last title of the Bill Russell Era 108-106.
