“I let my agent handle everything,” he said. “I’m proud to be a Redskin and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but if I was going to be traded, that’s my next move. Nothing negative. I didn’t take it as a negative thing or surprising. I kept working, but there was nothing negative in my shoes.”
Oh, if only Albert Haynesworth could say the same » Of course, no one really knows what he says because he’s not talking. But the Redskins could have a mess on their hands if he returns. Some guys can be stuck in tough situations and still play hard and not become an issue in the locker room. File Haynesworth under those who are the opposite.
Quarterback Donovan McNabb truly has the players energized » Center Casey Rabach said they ran one competition drill in which the losers would have to run. However, McNabb made sure everyone ran, wanting to hammer home the point that they win as a team or lose as a team. It’s a little gesture, but it summed up McNabb’s ability to lead. Jason Campbell was always a young quarterback learning a new system, which made it difficult for him to take on other roles. McNabb is a proven guy switching teams.
