Nats vs. White Sox – Game 2 Lineups

Game #69

Nats (31-37) vs. Chicago White Sox (32-34)

No Strasburg? No Obama? No problem. The Nats hope to shake off last night’s extra-inning 2-1 loss to the White Sox. J.D. Martin (0-2, 4.19 ERA) starts for Washington. The 27-year-old made a handful of quality starts last summer, but couldn’t crack the final roster out of spring training. Eventually he made seven starts at Triple-A Syracuse and was the natural choice when Scott Olsen got hurt last month. But when the Nats reshuffled the rotation once Stephen Strasburg was promoted Martin got pushed aside. He’s pitched just once in the last 16 days thanks to a pair of off days. This will be his fourth start since his May 29 recall. Here are the lineups for this afternoon’s nationally-televised game on FOX.
