After losing three straight, Clemson (2-3, 0-2) seeks a rally similar to last year, when it lost two of its first three ACC games but rallied to reach the conference title game. Maryland (4-1, 1-0) looks to freshman QB Danny O’Brien, who has not committed a turnover in the first two starts of his career but will be tested by the intimidating atmosphere of Death Valley. Maryland’s last road win came here in 2008.

Revitalized by a pair of ACC road wins, Virginia Tech (4-2, 2-0) has moved to the top of the Coastal Division behind the play of dual-threat senior QB Tyrod Taylor (1,030 yards passing, 449 yards rushing). Visiting Wake (2-4, 1-2) has lost four straight as its defense has surrendered 35.3 points a game. Virginia Tech held Wake to a combined one touchdown in victories in 2004 and ’06.
