Rivalry will extend to age 100

The Naval Academy announced it has renewed its series with Notre Dame through the 2026 season, set to be the 100th meeting in their storied rivalry, the longest continuous intersectional rivalry in college football.

The teams will play for the 84th time on Oct. 29 in South Bend. The 2012 game will be played at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

“When we’ve looked at future football schedules for Notre Dame, Navy has always been one of the opponents immediately penciled in – and this ensures that will be the case for yet another 10 years to come,” Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said.

“Our institutional relationship with Notre Dame goes back decades,” said Navy AD Chet Gladchuk. “Continuing this traditional and classic rivalry for years to come has always been a priority for both schools.  I am grateful to Jack and his staff for working with us to ensure the continuation of this annual highlight enjoyed by millions of fans during each college football season.”
