and Leon Fleisher.
The mystery, as it is every year, is which other celebrities will be on hand to fete the honorees. Kennedy Center staff is mum about who’s coming to town, but a source close to the awards tells us to expect none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.
We bet he’s coming to salute Scorsese, his director in “The Aviator,” “Gangs of New York” and “The Departed.” But one thing’s for sure: You can “catch him if you can” at the Four Seasons, where he’ll be staying.
In fact, all of the honorees except Scorsese are staying at the Mandarin Oriental, leaving the director to do his own thing. Perhaps he’s following the lead of his go-to actor and staying in Georgetown.
And speaking of the Mandarin, that’s where Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is hanging his hat, seemingly eschewing the less-luxe accommodations in Annapolis, where the Middle East peace conference is happening. Our spy spotted a phalanx of security there keeping Olmert safe.
Lastly, while he’s here, Steve Martin will be this weekend’s guest on “Tim Russert” on MSNBC.
