Nats at Giants – Game #2

Published May 26, 2010 4:00am ET

Nats (23-23) at San Francisco Giants (23-21)

The Nats will truly understand how frustrating last night’s 4-2 loss to the Giants was when they step into the batter’s box tonight and see two-time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum. Good times! Doesn’t seem like great odds if you struggle to put runs on Todd Wellemeyer and get Lincecum the next night. If there is any silver lining it’s that Lincecum is struggling, too. He’s walked 10 batters in his last two starts and gave up five earned runs at Arizona on May 20. His strikeouts are also down with 11 total in his last 13 innings pitched. Yet, Lincecum’s ERA is 2.35 in nine starts. Yeah, he’s awesome. The Nats counter with Luis Atilano (3-1, 5.06 ERA), who makes his seventh big-league start. He gave up six earned runs in his last start against the Mets last Thursday – a 10-7 loss. The lineups, please:
