Redskins GM Bruce Allen once again reached into his past to sign another player.
This time, he signed the once-speedy Joey Galloway. The 38-year-old receiver hasn’t done much in the past two years, playing in only a combined 12 games for three teams (Tampa Bay, New England and Pittsburgh) and catching just 20 passes. However, Allen obviously remembers what he did for Tampa Bay during his tenure as the Bucs’ GM.

From 2005-07, Galloway surpassed 1,000 yards each time and scored a combined 23 touchdowns. He has 689 career receptions, averaging 15.6 yards per catch.
The Redskins would like another veteran receiver to pair with Santana Moss. Third-year wideouts Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly remain unproven.
