The Redskins signed defensive lineman Greg Peterson, who was drafted by current Redskins GM Bruce Allen while he was in Tampa Bay.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Peterson has only played in 14 games since entering as a fifth-round pick in 2007. He was cut by Tampa Bay this past summer and later signed with Jacksonville. He played in two games for the Jaguars and made one tackle.
The Redskins need depth along the defensive line; a few of their reserves last season have been moved to outside linebacker. But Peterson is hardly a lock to even make the final roster.
