Trump dares Brennan to sue over his revoked security clearance

President Trump said Monday he hopes former CIA Director John Brennan sues over the decision to revoke his security clearance, but doubted Brennan would take that step.

“I hope John Brennan, the worst CIA Director in our country’s history, brings a lawsuit. It will then be very easy to get all of his records, texts, emails and documents to show not only the poor job he did, but how he was involved with the Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt. He won’t sue!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Brennan told MSNBC late last week that he was considering suing Trump for taking away his clearance.

On Sunday, Brennan told NBC he had a “number of lawyers” reach out to him, possibly looking to represent him if he chooses to take legal action against the Trump administration.

“I am going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future. If it means going to court, I will do that,” Brennan said.

The White House is considering rescinding clearances for other officials who have been critical of Trump, including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director Michael Hayden, former national security adviser Susan Rice, and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.
