The Buzz for April 2: Cory checks himself into rehab

What's going to happen to Finn Hudson?

Cory Monteith, who plays the star quarterback of the William McKinley Titans in the hit show "Glee," voluntarily checked himself into rehab for substance addiction.

According the Us Weekly, the 30-year-old's rep made a statement saying, "Cory Monteith has voluntarily admitted himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction. He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."

The British Columbia-born actor, whose girlfriend is co-star Lea Michelle, previously went to rehab at age 19 after his family staged an intervention. "[I did] anything and everything, as much as possible ... I had a serious problem," Cory revealed back in 2011 in an interview with Parade.

But rehab didn't seem to do the trick: "I did the stint but then went back to doing exactly what I left off doing," he admitted.

He got sober after hitting rock-bottom -- stealing money from your family is pretty low -- and seemingly was doing well, with a high-paying professional acting career and a smokin' hot girlfriend.

Luckily, Cory has lots of support during this tough time. Lea is sticking by him, and 20th Century Fox TV, which produces "Glee," released the following statement: "Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment. Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return."

Let's hope this time around he gets it right -- for good.

Operation restore reputation

Singer Chris Brown is on a mission to repair his reputation after the 2009 incident in which he beat on-again girlfriend Rihanna's face to a pulp.

The 23-year-old's new album, "X," drops in August, and he knows he's got to patch up his rep before then if he wants to make any money.

Appearing on "The Today Show" on Monday to promote his album -- I mean, apologize for his past indiscretions -- the "With You" singer told host Matt Lauer that he's "been humbled by the whole experience" involving Rihanna.

"From me losing everything, you know, to me having to regain public opinion or whatever it is. But most importantly, you know, knowing that what I did was totally wrong and having to kind of deal with myself and kind of forgive myself in the same breath and being able to apologize to Rihanna and be that man that can be a man, you know?"

He continued: "As far as me and her are concerned, she knows my heart and I know her heart. I'm not really focused on the negative."

Well, Chris, there's quite a lot of negative to ignore. How about getting in a fight with Frank Ocean and Drake, or freaking out over a $10 valet charge?

Chris tried to explain away those incidents, saying, "For me, it's just a learning process. You know, I have to just take it one day at a time."

In my humble opinion, Chris has not done much "learning" since assaulting his girlfriend and still has a lot of growing up to do.
