President Trump will meet with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos at the White House on May 18, the Colombian Embassy announced on Thursday.
Trump invited Santos to Washington for the meeting, which will focus on trade, national security and Colombia's recent peace agreement.
Prior to his visit to the White House, Santos will deliver the keynote address at an Atlantic Council dinner, at which a report from the Colombia Peace and Prosperity Task Force will be unveiled. Sens. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., and Ben Cardin, D-Md., are co-chairs of the task force.
Santos will also participate in a meeting of the newly-formed U.S.-Colombia Business Council during his visit to Washington.
