The first family will sit down Thursday for a Thanksgiving dinner at a table laden with all the customary options, as well as a few seafood dishes that might be expected in Florida, according to the White House.
"The first family will spend the evening enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family at the 'winter White House,'" Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for first lady Melania Trump told pool reporters, referring to the Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla.
"The menu includes all the traditional fare — turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, a variety of baked goods, local produce and cheeses, red snapper, and Florida stone crab," Grisham continued. "Dessert includes various cakes and pies."
But the Trump administration offered far fewer details about the meal compared to President Barack Obama's White House last Thanksgiving in office. The Obama's 2016 Thanksgiving feast listed half a dozen hors d'oeuvres, turkey, prime rib, a selection of side dishes, and six kinds of pie.
