She hasn’t even won her House race, but a Georgia candidate’s prominent use of guns in her campaign, including an image of her holding an AR-15 beside images of "the Squad," a group of liberal House women, over the caption “Squad’s worst nightmare” has drawn the scorn of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
In a tweet, the speaker, who is fending off her no-mask scandal, cited Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Facebook message and called on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to condemn it.
This post on Facebook by Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon adherent & likely winner of House seat in Congress, shows her holding a rifle gun & seemingly threatening @AOC @RashidaTlaib @IlhanMN. It has 4.6k likes and comments, and nearly 1,500 shares on Facebook, per CrowdTangle. pic.twitter.com/Lk2c5kK8vb

“Republican Leader @kevinomccarthy must immediately condemn this dangerous threat of violence against Democratic Congresswomen,” said her tweet.

Greene responded on Twitter, “Actually Nancy, we need to remove you from Congress. Congressman Steve Scalise was shot by a left-wing terrorist, and the next day you blamed Republicans. Senator Rand Paul was hounded by a BLM / ANTIFA mob last week and could have lost his life.”

The image, which was apparently removed from Greene’s Facebook page, showed three of the four members of the Squad, Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.
Posting a photo with an assault rifle next to the faces of three women of color is not advertising. It’s incitement.

There are already death threats in response to this post.
Facebook should remove this violent provocation. https://t.co/VYKzRv6VcB
Omar also rapped the image, and a Washington Post reporter called Greene’s image threatening.
“Posting a photo with an assault rifle next to the faces of three women of color is not advertising. It’s incitement. There are already death threats in response to this post. Facebook should remove this violent provocation,” said Omar.
The Washington Post’s Rachel Bade agreed, tweeting, “This is a threatening message to 3 lawmakers by an incoming member of the House.”
Relax @IlhanMN, it’s just a meme.
— Marjorie Taylor Greene For Congress🇺🇸 (@mtgreenee) September 4, 2020
What isn’t a meme is BLM / ANTIFA violence, rioting, and destruction that occurred on Minneapolis streets.
While your city was being burned and innocent people of color like David Dorn were killed, you called BLM / ANTIFA peaceful protesters. https://t.co/IDnDZbDki5
Showing no remorse, Greene responded, “Relax @IlhanMN, it’s just a meme. What isn’t a meme is BLM / ANTIFA violence, rioting, and destruction that occurred on Minneapolis streets. While your city was being burned and innocent people of color like David Dorn were killed, you called BLM / ANTIFA peaceful protesters.”
The Twitter storm came as Greene welcomed flak for hosting an AR-15 gun raffle, which Secrets reported on earlier Friday.
She told us, “I ran for office to expose, confront, and defeat the radical left. I scare them so much, they're trying to cancel me out even before I've been elected. But like President Trump, what they say about me is what they think about you. These Socialist radicals will never defeat this American woman. And I will continue fighting to Keep America Great.”
Greene is likely to win her race because the 14th Congressional District in Georgia is overwhelmingly Republican. She has been endorsed by President Trump and attended his Republican National Convention acceptance speech last week at the White House.
Her campaign has used fighting socialism as its theme, but much of the national media has focused on her engagement with QAnon. She recently told Secrets that she was “curious” about the conspiracy theory but rejected it.
