CNN’s Ana Navarro says ‘Trump might build a wall around Miami’ after Super Bowl halftime show

Republican strategist Ana Navarro blasted President Trump for his immigration policies after the Super Bowl halftime performance by Latina singers Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

She highlighted the positive influences of immigrants after the midway point in Sunday’s big game in Miami.

“If after watching this half-time show, you’re against immigration and think Latinos are invaders……go to boring, rhythm-less hell. Really,” Navarro said on Twitter. “Hispanics are Americans and Make America Great. Deal with it!”

Navarro, 48, sent another tweet in which she explained some of the anti-Trump political symbolism in the halftime show. “Trump might build a wall around Miami after last night: 1. Kids in cages singing ‘Let’s Get Loud’ 2. Female sign 3. Puerto Rican flag shown when ‘Born in the USA’ played (Puerto Ricans are Americans) 4. Shakira doing zaghrouta (tongue thing) 4. Se habló en Español,” she said.

The political commentator was born in Nicaragua and has been a vocal critic of Trump. Last July, Navarro suggested that Trump should deport his wife along with Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio for being immigrants or children of immigrants.

“It is our country as much as it is the Trump’s country. And if we’re gonna start sending people back … Ted Cruz was born in Canada. Marco Rubio’s parents were born in Cuba. Melania Trump was born where? Slovenia. How about her parents who are here through family immigration?” she said.

Navarro was a strategist with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. In June, she compared Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential bid to Bush’s 2016 failed run at the Republican presidential nomination. “I say this as someone who really likes Joe Biden,” she said. “Right now, he’s giving me Jeb Bush acid reflux.”
