Suspicious package addressed to Cory Booker, FBI says

A suspicious package similar to those mailed to other Democrats this week was sent to Democratic Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, the FBI confirmed on Friday.

“The #FBI has confirmed an 11th package has been recovered in Florida, similar in appearance to the others, addressed to Sen. Cory Booker,” the FBI posted in its Twitter thread following the development of suspicious packages.

The package was recovered in Florida, and investigators determined Thursday that several of the suspicious packages with “potentially explosive devices” were sent from or handled by a Florida U.S. Postal Service facility in Opa-locka, Fla.

Booker is the 11th prominent Democrat and the fourth member of Congress to be targeted by these packages.

Other targets include former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Democratic mega-donor George Soros, Reps. Maxine Waters of California and Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, former CIA Director John Brennan, and Trump critic Robert De Niro.

All of the packages have a return address to Wasserman Schultz’s Florida office.
