Laurel man missing for nearly six years

Maurice Cammon hasn’t been seen for nearly six years.

The Laurel resident was last seen on Dec. 12, 2006, at about 7 a.m., according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. Cammon, who was 29 at the time, told his sister that he wanted to go to the airport and left his home on the 9000 block of Contee Road shortly after.

Cammon, who would now be 34, hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Cammon has schizophrenia and a bipolar disorder and requires medication, according to NAMUS. Because of those disorders, Cammon is considered an “endangered” missing person.

Police described him in 2007 as a black man standing 6 feet 2 inches tall. He weighed about 185 pounds and was wearing grey sweat pants, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark coat on the day he disappeared. He has brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his back and right arm. He may go by the nickname Moe, according to NAMUS.

Anyone with information about Cammon should call the Prince George’s County Police Department at 301-937-0910.
