Actor and comedian Bill Burr defended his former Mandalorian castmate Gina Carano, who was fired from the show after posting conservative views on social media.
“She was an absolute sweetheart. Super nice f—ing person. And you know, whatever, somehow someone will take this video and f—ing make me say something else and try to get rid of my bald action figure!” Burr said on his The Bill Bert Podcast podcast, referring to how Hasbro discontinued action figures of Carano’s character.
“I’m on that f—ing show. Now, I gotta watch what the f— I say,” he added.
Carano was fired by Lucasfilm, which produces the popular Mandalorian series, last month after comparing the treatment of Republicans today to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.

Carano, who is also a former MMA fighter, has been a supporter of former President Donald Trump, voiced views against face masks, and signaled that she believes there was fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Burr, who plays the character Mayfeld on the Mandalorian, continued to slam cancel culture, saying that people are “laying in the weeds” to expose someone’s past “mistake” and end their career.
“How it is out there, it’s f—ing crazy time. There’s people waiting, just laying in the weeds,” Burr said. “Let’s show that he’s human, and he’s made a mistake in his past and take that dream away.”

“How do you hold up you judging somebody that harshly? I’m not talking about the hardcore s— like sexual assault and rape and stuff. I’m not talking about that. Now it’s becoming, like, ‘Hey, you made an ignorant comparison. There goes your dream.’ I look at that and say, ‘Who the f— stands up to that?’”
Since Carano’s firing, she announced she’s teamed up with the Daily Wire to make a movie.
