Fox News beats all other networks in Super Tuesday viewership

Fox News beat out all of its rival networks in Super Tuesday ratings, earning an audience of 4.17 million viewers.

The network snagged the second-largest audience for Super Tuesday coverage ever, losing out only to its 2016 coverage that saw 4.9 million viewers. About 19.9 million viewers combined watched the results roll in on Fox News, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN, Nielsen figures reported.

MSNBC came in second place in number of viewers, at 3.8 million, and NBC sat at third place with 2.9 million. CNN garnered the most viewers in the coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54 at 1.09 million, and the network reached 2.8 million overall viewers.

Former Vice President Joe Biden made a strong comeback in the race for the 2020 Democratic nomination, sweeping 10 state wins. Meanwhile, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg had a poor performance, only winning the territory of America Samoa, prompting him to drop out of the race Wednesday.

The race appears to now be between Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who came in second on Tuesday with three state wins.

“To everyone who has placed your faith in our campaign thus far, thank you. Your support means the world to me — and I hope I make you proud. I will do everything I can to bring this country together and restore the soul of our nation,” Biden tweeted after his victories.
