Eric Trump showed little love for the Democrats during an interview Tuesday, criticizing them for their daily attacks on his father, President Trump, and going as far as to say, "They are not even people."
He made the comment while speaking with Fox News' Sean Hannity. The host asked him about the Democrats' efforts to find evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
"I've never seen hatred like this," Trump replied. "To me, they are not even people. It's so, so sad. Morality is just gone. Morals have flown out the window. We deserve so much better than this."
Trump, who is executive vice president of the Trump Organization, then took aim at the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Tom Perez.
"You see the Democratic Party imploding. They have no message. If you see the head of the DNC — a total whack job," Trump said. There's no leadership here. What did they do? They become obstructionists because they have no message of their own. They have no solid candidates of their own. They lost the election they should have won because they spent seven times the amount of money that my father spent. "
Trump accused the Democrats of impeding the efforts of his father, whom he described as a "great man."
