Evangelist Franklin Graham accused people in Washington who are condemning Roy Moore of being hypocrites, and said Moore's detractors have committed “much worse” indiscretions than the conservative judge, who has been accused of sexual assault.
“The hypocrisy of Washington has no bounds. So many denouncing Roy Moore when they are guilty of doing much worse than what he has been accused of supposedly doing. Shame on those hypocrites,” tweeted Graham, the president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Nine women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers. Six of the women said Moore either asked them out on dates or dated them when they were between the ages of 16 and 22 years old.
A seventh woman said the conservative judge groped her in his office when she was 28 years old, and another said Moore pursued sexual relations with her when she was 14 years old.
The ninth woman accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16 years old and he was in his 30s, and said she was afraid he was going to rape her.
A number of top Republicans have called for Moore to withdraw from the Alabama Senate race, but Moore has denied the allegations and refuses to do so.
