MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski said Friday that booking Kellyanne Conway as a guest amounts to "politics porn," and called on CNN to stop having her on.

Brzezinski, a frequent and harsh critic of Conway, accused CNN of using President Trump's counselor as a ratings boost.

"Note to CNN: Sorry, I love CNN, but you've got to stop putting Kellyanne on the air," she said. "It's politics porn. You're just getting your little ratings crack, okay? But it's disgusting. There's nothing that she brings to the table that's honest. Your hosts know it. Your hosts look pained when they interview her because they know they're just doing politics porn. They're not doing news. We need to stick to the news."

Brzezinski has said in the past that her show no longer books Conway, following a series of media appearances in which Conway said something that was later contradicted by Trump or other White House officials.

The Washington Examiner has reached out to Conway and a spokesperson for CNN for comment.

Conway's last appearance on CNN was Tuesday night when anchor Anderson Cooper interviewed her about Trumps' controversial firing of FBI Director James Comey. Conway later complained that Cooper rolled his eyes at her, and said that was the latest sign of a sexism double standard for liberal media hosts.
