White House strategist Steve Bannon told GOP congressmen skeptical of Republicans' healthcare legislation that they had no choice but to support it, according to Mike Allen, co-founder of Axios.

President Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan pulled the legislation from consideration on Friday. Allen claims that before the Republican leaders stopped the push for healthcare legislation, Bannon told House Freedom Caucus opponents of the legislation to fall in line.

The report cites people claiming to have been in the conference room who said Bannon told the lawmakers: "Guys, look. This is not a discussion. This is not a debate. You have no choice but to vote for this bill."

They did not.

Following the failure of Republicans' healthcare legislation, Trump tweeted that Obamacare would "explode" so Americans need not worry. Trump is spending Saturday at a golf club bearing in Virginia bearing his name.
