Amber Heard’s Aquaman 2 role in jeopardy as petition calls for her removal

Amid the Johnny Depp defamation trial against Amber Heard, a petition calling for the actress’s removal from her role in the Aquaman 2 movie has surpassed 2 million signatures.

The petition, which began in December 2019, garnered renewed support as the former Hollywood couple’s turbulent marriage has played out in court for the public to see.

“Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women,” the petition reads. “This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.”
