President Joe Biden may be one of the most protected people on the planet, but even he was forced to defend himself from a rogue cicada that landed on the back of his neck.
The commander in chief was captured on camera Wednesday swatting away the bug, flinging it onto the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews before boarding Air Force One for his first foreign trip.
“Watch out for the cicadas. I just got one — it got me,” he told reporters.
Maybe now we’ll all take these dangerous terrorist cicadas seriously huh?

BIDEN FALLS INTO PRESIDENTIAL TRAP BY PRESSING MANCHIN AND SINEMA, EXPERTS SAY
Biden flies to the United Kingdom on Wednesday for the G-7 summit and sideline meetings with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Queen Elizabeth II. He then travels to Brussels for a NATO summit and a U.S.–European Union meeting before heading to Geneva for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Strengthening the alliance, making clear to Putin and China that Europe and the United States are tight and the G7 is going to move,” Biden said of his objectives for his trip abroad.
Biden’s meeting with Putin coincides with an uptick in Russia-based hackers launching cyberattacks against critical U.S. infrastructure, including the Colonial Pipeline, which funnels gas to most of the eastern seaboard, and JBS, one of the world’s largest meatpackers.
Biden on Thursday appeared apprehensive about whether he would be able to reach an understanding with Putin over the attacks after saying host countries bore some responsibility for the criminals. But he insisted that the two leaders’ discussion would be “substantive.”
The president added he would use the international platform to reveal his global vaccine plan after announcing that his administration would send 25 million doses of surplus COVID-19 shots overseas through the United Nations-supported COVAX program.

Local cicadas, part of the cyclical Brood X that has descended on the Washington area in the past few weeks, also delayed the press plane accompanying Biden, which departed Tuesday night.
THIS is not rain, not ground clutter (the radar beam picking up objects close the radar site –which is in Loudoun County)…. the Hydrometeor Classification algorithm identifies this as biological in nature..so likely CICADAS being picked up by the radar beam… pic.twitter.com/zTLCzynz5D
